The Vision

I wanted to build a card game where skill wins. Not wallets. Not grinding. Not whoever spends the most on packs. A game where every card is earnable through play, where strategy matters more than collection size, and where the playing field is genuinely level.

Rift Wars is that game. A 5×5 tactical card game with 4,276 cards across 16 clans, built from scratch as a love letter to card games that respect the player's time and intelligence. Free-to-play. No pay-to-win. Self-funded. No VC money. No token pre-sale.

The Meta Machina™ universe is bigger than one game. It's a cyberpunk world I've been building since the early 2000's, spanning lore, art, and now live gameplay. Rift Wars is just the beginning.

Rift Wars was built using AI as a collaborative engineering partner. Not generated — directed. Every architecture decision, every ability system, every balance pass went through a human who cares about the end result. AI handled the velocity. I handled the vision.

The result: a fully deployed multiplayer game with server-authoritative matchmaking, 6-tier AI opponents, 4 Shinpodo schools, a full social and economy layer, clan systems, spectator mode with prediction markets, and 4,276 unique cards — all live and serving real players.

Self-funded from day one. No investors. No token sale. No pre-mine. Just a game that earns its players through quality, not marketing spend.

I'm building in public. Follow the journey, give feedback, or just come play.
