Rift Wars is currently in Open Beta. By accessing or playing the game during this period, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms. This disclaimer supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

1. Beta Status

Rift Wars is an actively developing product that has not yet reached its final release state. The game, its features, content, and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. During the Open Beta period, all aspects of the game — including but not limited to gameplay mechanics, card statistics, economy values, user interface, and available features — are subject to change, modification, or removal at any time without prior notice.

2. Server Stability & Downtime

During the Open Beta testing period, you may experience:

Unscheduled server downtime, outages, or interruptions
Scheduled maintenance windows for updates, patches, and infrastructure changes
Performance degradation, latency spikes, or connectivity issues
Server restarts that may interrupt active matches
Service unavailability during infrastructure migrations or upgrades

Meta Machina LLC makes no guarantees of uptime, availability, or service continuity during the Open Beta period. We will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruptions but cannot be held liable for any downtime or its effects on your gameplay experience.

3. Data & Progress

While we intend to preserve player data and progress through and beyond the beta period, we reserve the right to:

Reset, modify, or wipe player accounts, inventories, rankings, or currency balances
Alter the value, function, or availability of in-game items and currencies (including M-Credz)
Rebalance card statistics, abilities, economy rates, or matchmaking parameters
Remove or restructure features that were previously available

In the event of a data reset, we will provide advance notice when reasonably possible. No compensation is guaranteed for progress or items lost due to beta-related resets or changes.

4. Bug Reporting & Feedback

Beta testers are encouraged to report bugs, exploits, and feedback through our official channels, including our Discord server. Exploiting known bugs or glitches for competitive advantage during the beta period is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in account suspension.

5. No Warranty

THE OPEN BETA SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. META MACHINA STUDIO LLC DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS DURING THE BETA PERIOD.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, META MACHINA STUDIO LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE BETA SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROGRESS, LOSS OF VIRTUAL ITEMS OR CURRENCY, OR INTERRUPTION OF GAMEPLAY, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH DAMAGES WERE FORESEEABLE OR WHETHER META MACHINA STUDIO LLC WAS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

7. Changes to This Disclaimer

We reserve the right to update this Beta Disclaimer at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. When the game exits Open Beta and reaches full release, this disclaimer will be retired and the standard Terms of Service will govern all use.
